Pie deliveries are made to the cafe each morning. The job begins by 7:00 AM; pies arrive at the fairgrounds around 8:30 AM; exit from the fair must be made by 10:00 AM; carriers returned to churches and finished around 11:00 AM. The schedule of deliveries changes dependent on the churches participating on a given day and will be provided prior to the start of the fair.
Pickup is made at the main entrance on the North side near the East end of the sanctuary. Pies arrive for packing between 7:00-7:30 AM. Leave Asbury no later than 7:45 AM. Collect other supples for delivery as necessary.
Enter St. Stephen's kitchen on the North side of the building, half way to the back along sidewalk. Pies will be in carriers ready to go.
Enter St. John's at the rear (East side) of the building off the main parking lot. Pie carriers will likely be on the sidewalk. If not they will be in the kitchen immediately to the left.
All pies will be delivered to one of the noted locations, unless other specific arrangements are made directly with the Pie Deliverer. Paperwork, pie tins, and laundry are to be returned to Asbury when returning from the fair.
ALL concession deliveries to the State Fair must be made through Gate 3, at San Pedro Blvd. and Racetrack Ave. (i.e. Copper), near the Southwest corner of the grounds. All entrances to the fair are by right-turn only. After entering the fair grounds proceed straight ahead to Main Street. If the street is clear, turn left and proceed to the cafe. Park in front on Main Street as close as possible for unloading. If Main Street is blocked by traffic, such as firetrucks on Fireman's day, continue going straight instead of turning onto Main Street. Then turn left in front of the Grandstand entrance and travel past Tingley Coliseum to Heritage Street. Turn right on Heritage and travel to Main. Park on the left side of Heritage as close to the cafe as possible.
