Important Worker Notes
- KNOW applicable health rules.
- Most importantly WASH HANDS before
entering food area.
- Keep hot foods hot and cold foods cold.
- Always wear a hat (or hairnet) -
required!
- Do NOT give out medication of any kind. The
cafe can be held liable for your actions!
- The cafe does not open until the Cafe Chair has made the
daily briefing.
- Check for open packages before tearing into new supplies.
Look for inventory dates on items as well and use older
items first.
- Note the proper selection of bowls, plates, etc. Improper
use will quickly deplete certain inventories.
- Be patient! We are all volunteers.
- Get day managers permission before taking breaks or
leaving.
- Early shift - arrive on time or notify your day
manager ahead of time.
- For night shift, no one leaves until the entire cleanup
is complete or excused by the day manager.
- Train your replacement. Please!
- Place purses or valuables under the
front counter or in the bathroom, not in the open area at
the back.
- Workers get free drinks and half-price grill orders, but
must pay for pie!
- Do unto "The Customer", as you would
have them do unto you!
