Music Ministries and Worship Arts
Asbury United Methodist Church offers an active music ministry and arts programs for all ages. There are opportunities for many different interests and levels of expertise. New members are always welcome and new programs are forming.
Chancel Choir is open to college age and all adults. Rehearsals are Wednesdays from 7:30 to 9:00 PM. Childcare is available with advance notice to the church office. This choir sings a variety of choral literature, sings at either 8:30 or 11:00 AM service, and presents one or two major works a year.
Asbury Bells is a handbell choir that meets Wednesdays from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. The age level for this group is for high school, college, and adults adults.
Amazing Grace Notes is an adult handbell choir for college level and adults. They rehearse each Thursday from 1:30 to 2:30 PM. They play approximately every 6 weeks in worship.
The Wesley Singers is open to youth in grades 6th through 12th. This choir rehearses each Sunday from 4:00-5:00 PM.
Creative Kids choir is for children Kindergarten through 5th grade. They meet on Wednesday afternoons during Creative Kids program. Also children in 3rd-5th grade rehearse with handchimes, and handbells.
Many opportunities present themselves for small ensemble singing, playing instruments, and solos for vocalists and instrumentalists. For more information contact Allen Webner
