The cabinet of the New Mexico Annual Conference appoints Rev. Kim Kinsley to Asbury UMC

Rev. Joe Whitley Appointed to Western Hills UMC-El Paso

Bishop Carlo A. Rapanut intends to appoint Rev. Joe Whitley to serve as the Senior Pastor of Western Hills United Methodist Church in El Paso effective July 1, 2026. Rev. Whitley is an Ordained Elder of the New Mexico Conference currently serving as the Senior Pastor at Asbury United Methodist Church of Albuquerque, New Mexico. 

Rev. Dr. Kimberly Kinsey, Ordained Elder of the New Mexico Conference, has served as the Senior Pastor at Western Hills United Methodist Church since 2019. We are very grateful for her faithful and fruitful service and ministry. 

This announcement is being made by Rev. Dr. Pamela Rowley, El Paso District Superintendent, who calls us to be in prayer for Rev. Whitley, his wife Alex and their family, and the congregations of Western Hills UMC and Asbury UMC.
